The release of a double LP preceded the release of the third single "Road to gold".
These have been interesting years. Professionally, I had reduced my artistic activity in favour of developing the training centre Perform School of music and specific personal training for teaching certified international titles, which led me to work with the Music Learning Collective in Nottingham.
But when I was presented with the opportunity to work on a new artistic project - led by the author William Jones and supported by his English label Summerhouse Records - I felt it was time to return to the scene more decisively.
The initial contacts took place just before the Covid pandemic, which led to the postponement of the first recording session several times, until it was decided to record in Italy instead of England.
The production's desire to record the rhythm section live necessitated the involvement of other Italian musicians.
On that occasion, I proposed the guitarist Ivano Gruarin and the bassist Francesco Vecchia, with whom we then both arranged our parts and played in the released singles.
Since that first moment, things have evolved a lot and many colleagues have taken part in the various recording sessions that have allowed the release of 3 EPs and a Double LP in just over three years.
Personally, I experienced the publication of the latter with great enthusiasm since, for obvious age-related reasons, I had never had the pleasure of hearing one of my works published on LP, given that at the time of my first works in the music industry, CDs were already more widely distributed...
Among the great professionals who took part in this beautiful work, there are many professionals both Italian and English. To name them, I quote another of my posts in which I wrote the following:
"Even in this album there will be a lot of information that the production wanted to publish, in full respect of all those who took part in the work done over the various months of recording, mixing, and mastering between Italy and England.
Months in which important figures and mythical places played a role in completing the work started almost a year ago, such as Geoff Pesche at the Abbey Road Studios or Dave Blackman of Hiltongrove Mastering, or the Senior Choir Director “Becky” Thomas of the London Community Gospel Choir for the choir arrangement in the main single, featuring the splendid voice of soloist Annette Bowen. The various sound engineers, starting with Alessandro Ciola who followed the project in its entirety, both at Imagina Productions and in the sessions in England at the MVLS Music in London.
And clearly the musicians, besides myself - Alex Bonacci - on drums: Ivano Gruarin on guitars, Francesco Vecchia on bass, the string quartet directed by Paolo Giolo, Paolo Gambino on keyboards and Alessandra Turri as backing vocals.
A small aside, as it fills me with pride: many of the session musicians I suggested when I was contacted at the time for the realization of the project by William Jones, are (or have been) also collaborators at the training center I direct, once again demonstrating their great professionalism."
