La Porta Nuova band new single is now available: Glorious day
New single out for the band "La Porta Nuova".
It was a pleasure to work with all the great professionals (Italian and foreign musicians and technicians) who took part in the creation of a truly special project.
A solid production, attentive to details and the quality of what is created, leaving room for the creativity of the musicians involved but providing a clear guideline, to maintain coherence with the idea of the author William Jones.
Furthermore, the participation of the London Community Gospel Choir has provided a magical touch to the song that gives its name to the EP composed of four unreleased songs.
In addition to the single "Glorious day", therefore, the Ep is completed by three songs that cover a broad spectrum of the band's sounds.
“If I ever wake again” is a very frank and - in a certain sense - pimping song, thanks to the acid guitar riffs that reveal the rock soul of the band members, even if coherent with the author William Jones's way of writing.
“Where did I go?” I think it's a very British song. The arrangement of the strings is fascinating which, associated with the female backing vocals, recalls an English sound of the past.
The Ep closes with the song “What's the ending?” that completes a multifaceted work: the use of mallets and drumsticks, the snare drum used with and without snares, the slide of the guitar, keyboards, choirs and the global ethereal sense, closes the single which reveals a growth of the cohesion of the band after the first and previous single.
Among the collaborators and artists who worked on the project, the London Community Gospel Choir, Paolo Gambino - keyboards and piano, Alessandra Turri - backing vocals, Alessandro Ciola - artistic production.
All great professionals who have provided their added value to the band formed by William Jones - author, guitars and vocals, Ivano Gruarin - guitars, Francesco Vecchia - bass, and myself, Alex Bonacci - drums.
Everything masterfully directed by Summerhouse Records.
I hope you like it!
